This course should be completed by every person and/or coach who coaches, works or volunteers within any sports code, whether associated to a club or not, and who may, through coaching or assistance, come in contact with a vulnerable athlete or child.
Description
Every person working in sport or in a sports club, either as an employee or as a formal volunteer, in any capacity, must complete this course.
Completing Basic Safeguarding Awareness is prescribed by the International Olympic Committee, the KAZAN Action Plan, and most international sporting bodies.
There are 7 different modules to work through, which includes literature to read as well as some videos to watch. You will need to watch each video to the end before the next set of modules becomes available to you.
Once you have completed all the modules, there is a Multiple Choice exam which is for 30 marks which you will need to complete before you are awarded your certificate.
